Activists in Australia committed to pro-Palestinian cause remain determined to disrupt Israeli shipping

Ports have become the focal point for pro-Palestinian protests in Australia, as activists target Israeli ships and vessels with alleged links to the country. Last week, a blockade was attempted to prevent the ZIM Ganges container ship from reaching the Port of Melbourne. The blockade lasted for four days and resulted in dozens of arrests. The protests aimed to disrupt the supply chain of ZIM shipping, a company that has drawn criticism for its support of Israel. Despite the blockade causing temporary disruptions, other ships have since been able to dock in Melbourne without interference. However, activists remain committed to disrupting Israeli supply chains until there is a permanent ceasefire in Gaza and an end to the occupation.
